The biggest chair in the world, coated with a Wagner painting system!

The world's biggest chair, which is in the Guiness Book of Records is 30 meters tall and can be found in St. Florian, Linz in Austria. It was coated with a wet-painting system by Wagner.

The chair was made by Wiehag (Altheim, Austrila) for XXXL furniture chain store and used in their TV advertising.

In the production of the chairs, the size of up to 30 meters was no problem for Wiehag. "The biggest challenge for the XXXL chairs is the quality of the wood and the coating", says Manfred Haimerl, Operations Manager at Wiehag. 70 cubic meters of laminated Douglas fir went into the making of the chair for the store in St Florian. It was coated with 140 litres of highly weather resistent paint with the Wagner high pressure piston pump Puma 28-40 Airless Spraypack as well as a high pressure filter and suction system and a Wagner Airless Gun AG14.
